Judicial Watch announced recently that it filed a Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice for a copy
of the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) FD-1023 that describes “an
alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign
national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions.”

Judicial Watch Statement on Harvard Admissions
Ruling
Judicial Watch and AEF argued in
their briefs that the court should reject a prior 1978 Supreme Court
opinion that seemingly authorizes racial discrimination in college
admissions (Regents of Univ. of Cal. V. Bakke, 438 U.S. 265 (1978)). Since
Bakke, there have been “at least 26 separate opinions. Many of these have
attempted to explain the constitutional rationale for allowing race-based
preferences, even though those rationales appear to directly conflict with
the original meaning and text of the Equal Protection Clause.”

Record 853,955 Foreigners Overstay Visa Decades after
Terrorists Did it to Execute 9/11
More than two decades after
Islamic terrorists exploited the U.S. government’s inefficient system for
tracking foreigners who overstay visas, the problem is only getting worse
with a startling 853,955 visa overstays in fiscal year 2022. A new report
issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) tries to downplay the
severity of the situation by shining a light on the positive, that the
overstay rate is a mere 3.67% compared to 96.33% of over 23 million
nonimmigrants that departed the country on time in accordance with the
terms of their admission.

Trump
indictment exposes the DOJ’s two-tiered justice system
Washington Examiner
The
politically motivated and “count stacked” indictment of former
President Donald Trump by special counsel Jack Smith is an
assault on the foundations of our democracy and an alarming testament to
the weaponization of the Biden justice system. The principles of fairness
and impartiality that underpin our rule of law have swiftly eroded
— Hunter Biden’s recent sweetheart plea deal only confirms
that point. Indeed, the justice system’s refusal to take seriously
allegations of Biden family corruption while pursuing what seems to be a
vendetta against Trump have left the public’s faith in equal justice
shaken to the core.

Why Trump
Had a Right to Keep the Documents
The Wall Street Journal
The recent
indictment implies that Donald Trump received the 31 records when he was
president and that he intended to control them because he placed them in
boxes, retaining them. At this point, only the government knows whether
those records were created for President Trump. But that fact probably
doesn’t matter. Another D.C. Circuit panel in 1993 explained that the
purpose of the “agency record” exception in the Presidential Records
Act was to prevent a president from defining “presidential records” as
“all records produced or received by, or in the possession or under the
control of, any government agency or employee of the United States.”
