Hello John, I’m Larry Tribe, Professor of Constitutional Law Emeritus at Harvard University, Adam’s former law school professor — but most importantly, lifelong friend.

When Adam attended Harvard he was my research assistant working on constitutional law. (So was Jamie Raskin!). Working closely together, I realized a few things about him very quickly — he was driven, smart, and incredibly good at his job — this was true over 40 years ago, and is still true today.

I am incredibly proud of the work Adam has gone on to do since his time at Harvard. His work in Congress has been instrumental in protecting our democracy. That’s why, when the ludicrous Trump-inspired attack to censure Adam occurred, I said he should wear this sham attack as a badge of honor.

John, when the Democrats crowded to the front of the chamber after the censure vote, clapping and cheering for Adam, I would’ve proudly joined them. MAGA Republicans are doubling down on their attacks on him because they know he has been one of the most effective members of Congress at investigating corruption, and holding them accountable.

This “censure” is a badge of honor for Adam and a stain on the history of the House of Representatives. The right-wing extremists in Congress have no respect at all for the Constitution they are sworn to uphold. Period.

It is a wonderful opportunity to become close friends with someone and get to watch how they continue to grow and follow their values and convictions to help others. That’s why I’m asking for you to support Adam in his campaign for Senate today.
