The Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources (Commerce) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is seeking proposals to provide technical assistance on solar photovoltaic (solar PV) projects for the network of WAP Service Providers throughout the State of Minnesota. Minnesota?s Weatherization Assistance Program is a federally funded program for implementing energy efficiency upgrades to income-qualified households. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (USHHS). USDOE has recently approved solar photovoltaic (solar PV) systems as an eligible measure under the Weatherization program and Commerce has filed with USHHS to allow solar PV as an eligible measure for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) originating Weatherization funds.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) and required forms will be available for download on the Department?s website [link removed]) through the deadline of July 31, 2023, 5:00 PM TIME (CT).?

This request does not obligate the State to complete the work contemplated in this notice.? The State reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. All expenses incurred in responding to this notice are solely the responsibility of the responder.
