Downtown Dallas, once a place people only went to for work, has
rebranded itself as a place where people can also spend leisure time.

What's changed:

* Downtown now has 15,000 residents and Insta-famous restaurants like
the Nusr-Et Steakhouse and Monarch.

* People ages 25 to 34 make up Downtown's biggest demographic, and
almost half of them have lived there for less than two years, Downtown
Dallas Inc. president Jennifer Scripps said.

* Downtown households are also three times more likely to have a "fur
baby" than a human kid, she said.

**Texas ranks as best business climate for companies looking to relocate
or expand**

The Lone Star State attracted more 1,000 projects in 2022 that created
over 35,000 jobs.

Texas ranks as the state with the best business climate for companies
looking to relocate or expand, according to a trade publication that
reports on the site selection industry.

Business Facilities put Texas at the top of its 19th annual ranking,
with North Carolina, Virginia, Utah, and Tennessee rounding out the
first five. Its ranking examined more than 60 factors.
