John, Rep. Jamie Raskin is warning Americans that the Electoral College is a danger to our future.

It's being abused by a minority party to stay in power, and despite that an overwhelming majority of Americans say they want it fixed, nothing is being done in Congress to fix it.

That's why passing the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact at the local level is so important. And we're closer than ever to making that happen!

Just in the past month states like Alaska, Maine, Michigan, and Nevada have advanced legislation to join the NPVIC.

And now Minnesota has officially joined! 

But, John, this critical legislation is stalled in too many statehouses across the nation, and we're running out of time. We've got to kickstart this movement!

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is an agreement between states to award ALL of their Electoral Votes to the winner of the National Popular Vote, and it goes into effect as soon as enough states sign on to reach the 270 Electors needed to WIN the Presidency. 

Right now, 16 states plus D.C. have signed on, giving us 206 of those Electors. But legislation is pending in enough states to finally push the Compact over the edge!
