Across the country, massive industrial factories are spitting toxic air emissions and volatile organic compounds into the air right now – and it’s mostly happening in Black, Brown, Indigenous,
and low-wealth communities. In one 85-mile stretch of Louisiana, the health impacts from more than 200 POISONOUS facilities are so bad that the
region is known as CANCER ALLEY!
We have a once in a generation chance to fight this toxic pollution and protect our communities and the environment. But that chance ends this week!
The EPA is updating key rules under the Clean Air Act that would regulate 218 of the WORST U.S. chemical facilities. This is a critical and fleeting moment to push for the strongest protections,
but we won’t make it without your help, Friend. We need just 17 more people from your area to send a message
to the EPA. Add your name by 11:59pm TONIGHT and strengthen air pollution
regulations!

[[link removed]]Cancer, asthma, liver, brain, and heart problems. These are just a few of the serious health impacts that people have experienced
living near toxic petrochemical facilities. Children and seniors living in these
communities are the most vulnerable.
Think about what it would be like for your community to be surrounded by
towering smokestacks, daily noxious fumes and distorted skies. You might pass
fields of metal, concrete, and grime on your way to work or school – a sight
that shouldn’t be normal for a residential neighborhood. This is everyday life in Cancer Alley.
