A trial date for the suspended Texas AG has been set
Hi friend,
The date for Ken Paxton’s impeachment trial has been set — and we feel bad. After all the hard work he put into allegedly obstructing justice, disregarding his official duties, and engaging in bribery, he’ll be out of a job until at least September 5th. That’s bad news for the country’s most ethical AG!
While Dem AGs will spend the summer hard at work, Texas AG Ken Paxton will be awaiting his trial to determine if he’s out of a job or not. So we thought we’d help him out with some suggestions on how to spend his time off:
Since he’s repeatedly attacked abortion access, we think he should binge watch The Handmaid’s Tale. We think he’ll love the whole premise of controlling what women do, since he’s been so dedicated to that as AG.
Instead of repeatedly suing the EPA and rallying against what he calls the “radical climate change movement,” Ken should attend a climate action protest. Maybe then he’d finally understand why his constituents are concerned about climate change’s impact on extreme heat, drought, hurricanes and wildfires — and he might stop taking actions that make the problem worse. Don’t forget your sunblock at the protest, Ken!
Or he can visit his $1.6 million dollar luxury lodge in Oklahoma – or his new townhouse and rental properties in Florida – or the tracts of land he bought in Utah and Hawaii. Those seem like pretty expensive places to stay – but Ken had the good fortune to buy all of them in the last two years! What a fun little coincidence that he has a place to hang out this summer.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
