Hello Comrades! Take a look at what Sacramento DSA has in store this month and see how you can get involved.

Announcements

Read through the announcements and learn about any updates or requests to the General Membership.

July General Membership (Hybrid) Meeting (GMM)

Get ready for an extra hot summertime GMM!

For in-person, we are meeting at Colonial Heights Library (4799 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95820)

For those who want to join us via Zoom, please RSVP using the red button below.

CA-DSA Survey

California DSA is pursuing a strategy of running a slate of DSA candidates for the California State Assembly in 2024. As part of that campaign, we're constructing a program that our slate will run on – a short list of priorities and tactics that our candidates would prioritize if elected. To construct that program, we're seeking input from California DSA delegates and other DSA members and leaders in California. Submit your responses by July 6th!

Comms Standing Committee

Exciting announcement everyone: we are re-forming the Communications Standing Committee!

This group works on both internal and external communications, helping shape our relationships with the public and our members. We will support campaigns, craft messaging to promote our work, and engage our community. This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in impactful work, and a great way to get engaged for members less comfortable with in-person campaign work like canvassing. Next meeting will be 07/25/23 at 6:00pm via Zoom.

Local Convention Planning Group

Do you want to get more involved with the Chapter and don't know how?

Are you organized and detailed-oriented? Do you like creating programs and schedules?

Be part of the Local Convention planning group!

Local Conventions are the "highest deliberative body of the Local to amend its structure and decide the political priorities of the Local between Local Conventions".

A lot of planning and work goes into planning a Local Convention and it takes a village to make this happen.

If you are interested, please get in contact with a Steering Committee member or email [email protected] for more information!

Enter in a raffle by completing our Conflict Skills Survey!

Interested writing a blog post?

Do you feel passionate about a certain leftist topic? How about current events? Are you a good writer? If you answered yes, we would love to host your writing on our Sacramento DSA blog located on our website!

Our last entry is a few years ago, so we are hungry for new leftist content to display.

If interested, please email Chapter Secretary, Jessie, at [email protected].
