Hi John,
Two years ago, I decided to run for Congress for the first time. And now, I’m officially running for re-election to continue my service to families in southeast Pennsylvania.
We’ve accomplished so much together -- but our work is far from finished. Earlier this month, we hosted our 2020 Campaign Kick-Off and Office Opening, and DOZENS of supporters joined us.
Special thanks to the many elected officials who joined us today: Josh Shapiro, Leanne Krueger, Jenn O’Mara, David Delloso, Tim Kearney, Margo Davidson, Jack Stollsteimer, Dr. Monica Taylor, and Christine Reuther for joining me. It is an honor to serve alongside you.
My friend and colleague Rep. Madeleine Dean joined me at our campaign launch -- and one thing is for certain: I am so grateful for our friendship and to know Pennsylvanians have another fighter like Mad in the House.
Now, my team and I are working to get my name on the ballot for this November. In South Philly, I spoke with my constituents and asked them personally to sign my petition.
We need to do all we can to continue our push for progress up and down the ballot. Thanks to this South Philly voter for helping us get closer to our signature goal.
Serving as your representative in Congress is an honor, and I am forever thankful for all that you’ve done to make this possible.
Like you, I believe that our democracy is worth it. I believe that the rule of law matters. I believe that right matters. I also know that it isn’t easy.
We have so much more work to do, and we cannot continue to make progress without you.
We cannot lose hope. We cannot give up.
I’m ready to keep fighting. And I hope that you are with me.
Thanks for being such a critical part of our team.
Best,
Mary Gay
