SCOTUS Again Reverses Decades of Progress

In closing out their most recent term, the far-right Supreme Court continues reversing decades of hard-fought progress. The Court’s 6-3 conservative majority ruled against affirmative action, blocked President Biden’s student loan relief plan, and provided numerous businesses with a license to discriminate against those celebrating same-sex weddings in the LGBTQ+ community, and maybe more.

Please read on for more insight and analysis from People For’s team of experts on each of these cases:

With the recent series of bad decisions from SCOTUS it’s understandable that many might be worried about the future of some of the issues we’ve previously made great strides in advancing. But without diminishing the rightful fear and uncertainty felt by many communities in this moment, we know that there is some strong and powerful momentum underway that gives us hope for the future.

President Biden has made incredible progress in filling 136 lifetime judicial slots in the federal judiciary, and with more than 90 vacancies throughout the nation there is still additional progress that can be made! As we fight to confirm more of these nominees and to advance legislative solutions that would mitigate the harm caused by these and other Supreme Court rulings, your support is going to be more crucial than ever.

If you can, please make a contribution which will be put to work immediately in helping to advance President Biden’s outstanding judicial nominees >>
