Good morning,
Did you miss our LULAC Presidential Town Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada? And, the
countdown begins to the LULAC State of Latino America Summit and the Annual
Legislative Awards Gala.

Our Top Story
Here is what you should know.
LULAC Presidential Town Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada
Nevada’s powerful Latino electorate in 2020 totals nearly half a million men and
women eligible to cast a ballot. That represents 1-in-3 of the almost 1.6 million
voters in the state. A few days ago, four presidential candidates addressed this
pivotal electorate as and offered their most convincing solutions to issues
important to the Latino community.
The LULAC Presidential Town Hall, presented by Telemundo in spanish, provided a
forum for community members to listen and ask questions of the candidates. The
goal was to encourage greater Latino turnout in Nevada, especially leading to the
caucuses on February 22.
The candidates that participated in the LULAC Town Hall included Tom Steyer,
Democratic Presidential Candidate; Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) (participating via
video conference); Pete Buttigieg, Former Mayor of South Bend, IN; and Sen. Amy
Klobuchar (D-MN).
Take a look at our Facebook LIVE broadcast [ [link removed] ]
and listen to what all our attending candidates had to say. You can also listen
or share the spanish broadcast [ [link removed] ]
from Telemundo.
A special thank you to all our partners, Telemundo and the College of Southern
Nevada (CSN), and our co-sponsors, the United States Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce, Chicanos Por La Causa, and Vme TV (a spanish language television
network).
