Dear John,
From the Trans Mountain Pipeline in the west to the Atlantic Coast Pipeline in the east, fossil fuel projects are destroying our environment. These projects are financed by the world’s largest banks -- banks like JPMorgan Chase.
Chase is the biggest Wall Street Bank funder of fossil fuels -- making it the world’s worst bank on climate change. While other banks are starting to clean up their acts, Chase is still resisting change.
Perhaps this is because former ExxonMobil CEO and radical climate denier Lee Raymond serves as Lead Independent Director on Chase’s Board of Directors. With a climate denier in charge, there’s little hope that Chase will change its ways. But together, we can pressure Chase to kick Lee Raymond off its board and clean up its act.
Sign the petition: Tell JPMorgan Chase to kick climate denier Lee Raymond off its board!
For nearly 20 years, JPMorgan Chase has allowed Lee Raymond to oversee its CEO Jamie Dimon. And during that time, Chase has led the way to climate chaos.
From 2016 to 2018, Chase financed some of the worst fossil fuel projects in the world and was the #1 banker of companies expanding fossil fuels. It provided $196 billion -- that’s “billion” with a B -- to projects including coal, tar sands and fracking. Lee Raymond’s fingerprints are all over these projects.
Lee Raymond has no business overseeing anything -- let alone the board of the largest fossil fuel banker in the country. But with your help, John, we can pressure JPMorgan Chase to kick him out!

Raymond is one of the most extreme climate deniers in America. He went so far as claiming on television that climate change was caused by sunspots and “the wobble of the earth.”
If we’re going avert the worst impacts of climate change, we must create solutions at every level, in every institution -- especially banks. We can’t let Wall Street get a free pass.
But we can only stop the money pipeline fueling the fossil fuel industry if people like you and me stand up and speak out. We must send a loud unified message to JPMorgan Chase that climate deniers have no place in leadership positions on their board.
Tell JPMorgan Chase: Climate deniers have no place on your board. It’s time to clean up your act!
Standing with you,
Doug Norlen,
Economic policy program director,
