What do we do when our State Legislature tries push yet another unconstitutional bill restricting reproductive rights? What do we do when our Department of Corrections announces that we will resume executions this year? How do we fix this?

It is a tragedy that our State throws so much time, energy, and money into purely partisan and ideological policies like these. It’s partisan. It’s inhumane. It’s unacceptable. Year after year, Republican leadership in our State fails us.

What do we do about it?

We elect more Democrats.

The Republicans have a supermajority in the House and Senate. They can pass whatever bills they want, they can do their best to block ballot initiatives, and they can keep ignoring the needs of our State. The only way to fix this is by ending their unchecked control of our legislature.

We can only fix this if YOU get involved. We don’t need a few people spending every single day fighting, we need everyone chipping in wherever they can. One way to do that is with a contribution, and that’s what I’m asking you for today. If you can give $3, that’s $3 that goes directly into the field to fight for change. Every. Single. Dollar. Matters.
