Two Tiers of Justice in America

The “sweetheart deal” reached by Hunter Biden’s lawyers and the Department of Justice is the most recent example of unequal treatment of justice under the law and the Biden Administration’s politicization of the American justice system.

If there was ever any doubt whether or not there is a different standard of justice if your last name is Biden versus Trump, this surely shows it. There are a lot of questions still left to be answered, and the House is going to continue to move forward aggressively at getting out the facts.

Biden's Student Loan Scheme

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court struck down President Biden’s student loan scheme this week. This isn’t imaginary money. Biden’s student loan forgiveness only helps the elites while hurting the working class, and I’m glad SCOTUS overruled this leftist handout.

Roundtable with Local St. Tammany Leaders

Earlier this week, I led roundtable discussions with local elected officials and business leaders in St. Tammany Parish to give an update on my work in Washington. We discussed legislation to tackle President Biden's out-of-control spending that is driving record inflation.

I also shared updates on what I'm doing in Congress to fight FEMA's ill-conceived Risk Rating 2.0 because their process was secretive, unfair, and quite frankly, jeopardizes the stability of the entire National Flood Insurance Program.

Congressional Art Competition Winner

I’m pleased to announce JLynne Hamberger from Ponchatoula High School as the 2023 Congressional Art Competition winner for Louisiana’s First Congressional District. JLynne’s artwork truly captures the beauty of Louisiana’s natural landscape and wildlife. The artwork creatively uses the state outline to frame our natural resources. Her artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year alongside the work of other winning artists from across the country.
