That feeling when you launch a historic Senate campaign:

I can’t begin to thank you for all the support you’ve shown me and my team the last few weeks.

It’s not lost on me that I’d be making history and breaking barriers as the first woman and first person of color to serve in the U.S. Senate from Delaware. It’s also not lost on me that there are no Black women in the U.S. Senate, a disappointing fact I intend to rectify.

But more than anything, I want to be remembered as a champion for the people. More than anything, I want to be remembered for doing the hard work that makes a positive difference.

Once again, I’m so thankful for you and your support, no matter how big or small you think it is, it matters to me!
