Women across TN and KS are defined and their spaces are protected.
Friend,
Today, our Women’s Bill of Rights law that passed in the 2022-23 legislation session in Kansas and Tennessee goes into effect.
Now, 4.9 million Kansas and Tennessee women’s private spaces and opportunities are protected. And hundreds of laws that already use sex-based words — like ‘woman’ and ‘man’ — now have definitions and meaning.
This is a monumental win for women, but we have only touched the tip of the iceberg. There are 160M more women across the nation whose states have not defined basic sex-based words or protected women’s most vulnerable spaces and opportunities. There is much more work to do.
Independent Women’s Forum is not stopping now. We are leveraging this momentum to expand our efforts and impact to new states next year. Stay tuned for more exciting news on this front soon.
Friend, join us in this fight to define sex-based words and prevent the erasure of women. Will you donate $5, $25, $100, $500 or more today to help?
