EARTHDAY.ORG Commits to Plastic-Free
July for Third Straight Year
United Together for Plastic Free
Future
EARTHDAY.ORG, the global organizer of Earth Day and lead recruiter
to the environmental movement worldwide, has announced their
commitment to participate in Plastic-Free July for the third straight
year. EARTHDAY.ORG is embracing the spirit of Plastic-Free July to
show their unwavering dedication to ending plastic pollution.
“Participating in Plastic-Free July is not only an essential step
towards creating a cleaner and healthier planet, but also a catalyst
for embracing a plastic-free lifestyle,” said Aidan Charron,
EARTHDAY.ORG’s End of Plastics Campaign Coordinator. “By committing to
reducing our plastic consumption and embracing sustainable
alternatives, we can pave the way for a future free from plastic
pollution and safeguard the well-being of our ecosystems for
generations to come.”
Since 2019, EARTHDAY.ORG’s End
Plastic Pollution campaign has been at the forefront
of tackling arguably the most urgent environmental challenge of our
time. Plastic pollution has reached alarming levels, causing
widespread damage to our ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. With
a mission to combat this crisis, the campaign uses a holistic approach
year-round to raise awareness and mobilize communities, governments,
and individuals to take decisive action in reducing plastic waste by
recognizing the interconnectedness of plastic pollution with other
environmental issues, such as climate change and biodiversity
loss.
