Apparently the triple gut punches of gutting affirmative action, legalizing LGBTQ+ discrimination, and robbing student loan holders of relief weren't enough for conservative justices, apparently, as they added a Second Amendment football spike to punctuate this historically regressive session. The high court’s radical right-wing majority added insult to injury Friday with their announcement that they will review a state law banning subjects of domestic violence restraining orders from possessing firearms. It's pretty clear how they're going to rule on this — and America's ex-girlfriends are going to be in a lot more danger.

The political consequences of losing political control over our nation's most powerful and most unaccountable body was made painfully clear once again with a double-whammy of extremism handed down by Trump's exceedingly corrupt appointees. Not only was the President's plan for student loans deemed unconstitutional on spurious grounds, but they ruled in favor of a plaintiff who was worried about being *hypothetically* asked to build a website for a gay wedding. No longer even pretending to hold a shred of integrity, objectivity, or respect for precedence, it is obvious that current makeup of the Supreme Court is untenable and requires serious reform.
