Choosing to work for Doctors Without Borders isn’t easy.
Our physicians, nurses, and logistical experts go to some of the most dangerous places on the planet, like conflict zones in Yemen. They often provide the only medical care around for miles, like in remote communities in South Sudan. The work is challenging and the days are long—and many of our aid workers are far away from their loved ones for up to six to nine months at a time.
But they make that choice because it means saving lives.
