I joined the Army at 17 to afford college, John.

While I am proud of my service to our country, I will never believe that you should have to get shot at in order to afford the cost of schooling.

Today, right-wing justices on the Supreme Court ruled against student debt relief for millions of Americans, including 96,200 folks right here in PA-01. As a result, the barriers to higher education just grew significantly higher for kids who grew up in low-income or working-class families like mine.

Adding to the horror today, they also gave businesses a license to discriminate against LGBTQ+ customers. These rulings will undoubtedly make life harder for working-class students, students of color, and LGBTQ+ communities across the country.

Let's be clear: The Supreme Court is wildly out of touch with the vast majority of Americans. The best way to fight back is to elect people who actually represent our shared values.

This Supreme Court is hellbent on killing the American Dream. Rush a contribution to fight back against the Supreme Court’s attacks against our civil liberties and freedoms >>

From abortion rights to discriminating against LGBTQ+ folks, our rights are being chipped away one by one by a group of extremist justices who we are learning are bought and paid for by billionaires.

Now more than ever, we need to raise our voices and elect leaders who actually have skin in the game.

Thanks for being part of our team.
