As we approach the end of the FEC fundraising reporting deadline, it's helpful to reflect on why we do what we do—and why independent groups like ours play an important role.
On the issues—gun violence, mental health, housing affordability, climate change—it is clear that Republicans don’t have anything to offer, no answers or attempts at solutions. And media-obsessed Trump bootlickers like Lauren Boebert don't care about anything except their political careers and lining their own pockets.
Talking with voters in key districts in Colorado about Boebert's corruption can often be more persuasive coming from an outside group, and not a candidate. That's the advantage of The Colorado Turnout Project: targeting the voters that can decide elections on the margins with an independent message.
But if that message is drowned out by vicious attack ads, our advantage won’t amount to much.
