So that we are all on the same page:

Democracy won’t be dismantled if you fail to read my email.

Bluntly, we won in 2022 because we cut through the BS and clearly stated what we believe: freedom includes the right to access abortion, the right to breathe clean air and drink clean water, and the right to be safe at the supermarket and in our schools. I promised to fight to secure fundamental freedoms, protect democracy, and deliver results for our families.

I’ve done my best to live up to those promises every day for the last ten months. We got in the fight together, and I’m not backing down until our values are reflected in our public policy.

So I’ll keep my pitch short:
I’m running for re-election.
I only won by 2,500 votes last year
In 2022, Republicans spent $6M against me, and they’ve already started spending cash spreading lies ahead of 2024
The National GOP named me a top 5 target for defeat
Elise Stefanik committed to spending HUGE money against me
Our media markets are expensive
2024 is a presidential year, and we will need to communicate with many more voters
The race in NY-18 is going to cost us more than it did in 2022

Most importantly: I did not do it alone in 2022, and I can’t do it alone in 2024 either. I’m asking if you will contribute to my campaign. I need to put resources in the bank. With the House majority only five seats from sanity, we must hold on in NY-18.
