Hi there, John. It’s Stefanie Brown-James, co-founder of The Vote To Live Campaign.
I’m reaching out to you today because the team here at Vote To Live needs your help more than ever. Right now, it’s looking like we won’t reach our $15,000 goal before our biggest deadline of the cycle to date at midnight tonight.
We have huge plans to invest in, listen to, and mobilize Black voters in 2023 and beyond, but if we don’t hit this goal, it simply won’t happen.
That’s not an option, John — not with what could be the most consequential election cycle for Black voters in history coming up.
We’re fighting back against oppressive voter suppression tactics the only way we know how: by removing barriers to access for Black voters directly. Make a tax-deductible donation of $10 or anything you can before midnight to help us reach our first $15K goal of the cycle and make sure we have the resources we need to do exactly that.
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately.

Here at Vote To Live, we’ve been fighting day in and day out since 2016 to ensure that every Black voter is registered and ready to vote. Now, we’re taking it one step further and helping those voters actually cast their ballots.
When we tear down barriers to the ballot box, we build a stronger, more equitable democracy. That’s why we’re working so hard to make 2023 a watershed year for the power and voices of Black voters — and why this request is so urgent.
Please, John — we need to close this quarter with a strong push, or else we’ll be scrambling to catch up for the rest of the cycle, and we can’t afford to let that happen. Please consider making a donation to Vote To Live before midnight tonight(remember, because we are a 501(c)3, your donation is tax-deductible!):
Thank you,
Stefanie Brown-James
Co-Founder of The Vote To Live Campaign
If every Black person eligible to vote voted this year, we would see historic and winning outcomes for leaders committed to standing with our communities up and down the ballot.
We cannot be passive and have critical parts of our lives decided for us. How we eat, where we sleep, make our money, take care of our children and literally breathe depend on how we choose to fight for our lives at the ballot box.
That’s why we are launching the VOTE TO LIVE campaign. VOTE TO LIVE is our commitment to register as many eligible voters as possible: first-timers, young people, and folks who have been unknowingly purged. This is our fight to ensure folks are registered, ready and able to take back so much of what’s been deprived — this year and beyond.
