As you no doubt have seen, this month the nation's airwaves and media outlets are flooded with celebrations of "pride". Under the false guise of equality and inclusivity, the event is actually a far cry from the values its proponents claim to live by. Time and time again, the LGBTQ movement has caused hateful intolerance toward people of faith.
Young children are being exposed to adult men reading graphic and sexualized books while dressed provocatively, as women. Hardworking American patriots standing by their faith convictions are being fired for refusing to use someone else's preferred pronouns. Business owners are being sued for preferring not to provide services for gay weddings.
Don't believe me? Let me share some very crucial matters PJI is currently involved in.
- In the state of Washington, PJI is representing a Christian family fighting a claim filed to the Washington Human Rights Commission. A biological male complained that this Korean family, which operates Korean-inspired spas for women, violated "gender inequality" laws by preventing him prancing naked in front of mothers and daughters.
- In Oregon, PJI is defending two middle school teachers placed on academic leave and ultimately fired by the public school district for voicing their opinions, on their own online platforms, about local, state, and national policies concerning students' gender identities. Among their opinions was opposition to requiring teachers to lie to parents.
- A devout Christian couple in Oregon was denied foster parenting after they refused to commit to promoting LGBTQ kids' sexuality or gender confusion, not promote non-Christian religions to the children. PJI is defending Shawn and Teresa Kellim's rights.
- PJI is defending a Christian couple fined $100,000 by Oregon's Bureau of Labor after their refusal on religious grounds to rent their personal venue for a same-sex wedding.
- In Michigan, PJI is representing an elderly woman fired from her nurse's aide position after she was overheard expressing her opinions about transgenderism and gay marriage to a fellow believer. Brenda Lemke's private conversation was the subject of a complaint to her nursing home employer. PJI is representing her to protect her religious freedom and right to free speech.
- A Christian caretaker in Michigan was fired for not addressing her female coworker as a man. PJI is defending the caretaker to protect her livelihood and right to live her faith.
John, these are just some of the over 150 cases we are actively litigating, while other PJI attorneys are working with state legislators coast-to-coast to help draft and influence bills that advance religious freedom.
For over 25 years, we have been protecting individuals and groups including teachers, health professionals, business owners, and parents. We're proud that we do it all without charge!
Unlike any other organization of our kind, 90% of the support we receive goes directly to waging battles like the ones I just shared. We anticipate taking on many more fights down the road, as attacks on our God-given freedoms continue to rise each day.
The need is great. Would you consider becoming a monthly contributor at a $50, $100, or even $1,000 level? With your help, we can reclaim the freedoms our Founding Fathers worked so hard to establish-freedoms of which our nation was once so proud. Help us confirm the right to free speech, conscience, parent's rights, and the sanctity of human life.

We're not just waging battles - we're winning in courts, all across the country. Will you be part of our freedom movement and help us assist those who can't help themselves?
Our diligent, hardworking attorneys are laboring tirelessly to advance the mission of defending faith and freedom. Your generous gift will help more than you know. Please consider joining the cause by making a donation this month. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
