You've probably heard the news, Friend, and it's all thanks to the amazing efforts of dedicated members like you.

Nearly 1,100 days after the news broke of the House Bill 6 scandal orchestrated by former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder, the maximum sentence has been handed down to hold him accountable for his actions and bring him to justice.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Black imposed the sentence after saying Householder clearly perjured himself during his criminal trial and betrayed the trust of his constituents.

This milestone proves the power of collective action. Your showing up to protests, countless calls, heartfelt letters, and generous contributions made a resounding impact. Together, we've shown that ordinary citizens can triumph over corruption and hold the powerful accountable. Finally!

The House Bill 6 scandal exposed the undue influence of deep-pocketed special interests in Ohio's legislature. But this sentence brings us closer to a future of transparency and accountability. We're sending a clear message: Ohioans deserve better! We won't tolerate corruption undermining our democracy.

Today, former Ohio Republican Party Chair Matt Borges has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for his involvement in the HB6 corruption scandal.
