A Lack of Courage from the Biden Admin

I recently traveled to Taiwan along with a delegation of select congress members to demonstrate my support for the Taiwanese people. In doing so, I was sanctioned by the Chinese Communist Party, which I see as a badge of honor.

Instead of showing similar courage and support for Taiwan, Secretary Blinken stated this week that the "United States does not support Taiwan independence."

The Biden administration should exhibit the same stance my delegation and I took by demonstrating strength — not weakness — in the face of CCP aggression. I talked more about this and other pressing foreign affairs issues with Maria Bartiromo on her show Sunday Morning Futures:

Supporting Israel, Prohibiting a Nuclear Iran

In the face of unprecedented nuclear provocations from the Iranian regime, the U.S. must make clear that a nuclear Iran is unacceptable. We cannot allow the Biden administration to bring back the disastrous and threatening Iranian relations and policies that the Obama administration envisioned.

This week, I was proud to lead a bipartisan resolution declaring Iran must not be able to obtain a nuclear weapon, and that the United States is willing to use all means necessary to prevent a nuclear Iran.

Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Volunteers

This week, we had the privilege of welcoming young men from the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets who volunteered their time to "officially" fold flags in my College Station Office. Thank you for your willingness to volunteer in such an honorable way.

These flags have been flown over the U.S. capitol and are available to constituents who want to recognize a loved one or event. If you would like to order a U.S. flag from our office or want to learn more, please visit my website here.

Passport Requests

My office has been working tirelessly with the relevant passport agencies, including the Dallas bureau, in hopes of achieving a positive outcome for our constituents. The State Department has been receiving an enormous influx of passport requests since many are traveling once again. However, that does not justify their lack of communication and action.

I signed a letter with my fellow Texas colleagues urging the State Department to provide direction not only on alleviating wait times, but on how to better communicate with the people they serve.

We are all frustrated and ready for answers and guidance on how to remedy this backlog. You can read our letter to Secretary Blinken here.

ICYMI: Rep. McCaul in the News

Politico: Michael McCaul says the State Department is still not providing all of the documents his committee requested relating to the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. And he's threatening another subpoena.
