States, cities, towns and schools are facing an unprecedented staffing crisis. Last month, there were more than 830,000 public service job openings and not nearly enough people were hired to fill the gaps. But we can fix this problem by working together!
At bus tour stops, we’ll be partnering with community and elected leaders to encourage people to apply for these open positions. And in some places, we’ll host listening sessions with AFSCME members to find ways to solve this crisis because it’s public service workers like you, who’ve dedicated their careers to serving their communities, that hold the keys to turning this crisis around.
