John, I want to say thank you for taking the time to read this email. It’s because of people like you that fuels my fight for a more equal, safe, and progressive future for all. But the work isn’t done.

When I first decided to run for County Commissioner in 2020, I knew I wasn’t just running for myself but I was running for all of the under-served voices denied a seat at the table. And I was able to make history, becoming the first Muslim woman in the South to be elected to office. Now I’m continuing the fight for my community as I seek re-election.

But this year, we’re up against a lot. Not only is the GOP attacking our rights at the federal level, but we’re seeing partisan extremism seeping into local and state politics.

I know together, we can counteract the growing threat of extremism, but only if we have the financial resources it takes to win re-election and stop the threat from becoming reality.

I know you’re an invested member of our community. But with so much at stake, I need your help to hit this critical End-of-Quarter goal so I can fight for progressive values against the GOP.
