The mask is off.

In a 6-3 decision authored by Chief Justice John Roberts, the Supreme Court struck down President Biden’s student loan relief program.

This blatantly partisan ruling demonstrates once again that this Court has no problem undermining any policy enacted by a president that they politically disagree with.

This isn’t a coincidence. This is about conservative activists finding a way to govern when they don’t control the White House: challenge every progressive policy all the way up to the Supreme Court.

We’re not going to let this stand. To fight back, we must bring balance back to the Court and keep it from becoming a MAGA clearinghouse for progressive policy destruction.

There is a bill already pending in Congress that will do just that. The Judiciary Act would restore ideological balance by adding four more justices to the Supreme Court. Find out now if your representative has signed on as a cosponsor and encourage them to do everything they can to get their colleagues on board to pass the bill.

LOOK THEM UP

This ruling fits into a history of this right-wing Court ruling against policies that would help working Americans. Yet the conservative justices on the bench are all too happy to routinely defend the interests of corporations and the wealthy. This has to stop.

The size of the Court has been modified seven times in our nation’s history, and it is high time we do it again.
