Dear John,
Today is the LAST DAY to maximize your gift and help us continue the fight for religious freedom in 2023.
And since we’re closing out the end of our fiscal year, I want to give you a deeper look into how your financial gift can defend religious freedom in America.
You might be wondering: Does my donation really have that much of an impact?
Yes, it absolutely does.
Your donation has a multiplied financial impact. Every $1 we receive in donations is turned into $6 of pro bono legal services via our exclusive network of elite volunteer attorneys. That means your gift delivers more freedom per dollar.
Maximize your gift before midnight tonight!
Your gift means we can defend people of faith like Dr. Johnson Varkey, a biology professor at St. Philip’s College in San Antonio, Texas, who was canceled for teaching biology.
After 20 years of teaching with no disciplinary action on his record, he was terminated for giving an ordinary lecture on biological sex being determined by X and Y chromosomes.
Even though Dr. Varkey taught from school-approved and science-based curriculum, St. Philip’s College is claiming he was fired because his teaching was “religious.”
In the following interview below with my colleague Stuart Shepard, Dr. Varkey shares in his own words what happened to him and what we're doing to defend him:

At First Liberty, we won’t sit on the sidelines while a person of faith is being threatened, bullied and even fired simply for their beliefs.
That’s why we’re already on the frontlines and have taken the first steps to set the record straight for Dr. Varkey.
But to continue fighting to quell these types of unconstitutional attacks, we need you to join us on the frontlines to ensure that this doesn’t happen to other people of faith like you and me.
Until midnight tonight, your gift can make an even greater impact against cancel culture thanks to our $350,000 Challenge Grant.
But you only have until tonight to maximize the impact of your gift!
Will you take a bold stand in the fight against cancel culture? Will you join us on the frontlines?
Gratefully,
Kelly
