The Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) invites you to participate in back-to-back webinar events on building power, fostering relationships, and engaging allies that can make positive changes in the child care system. The webinar series will explore how advocates and administrators worked together in states like New Mexico, New York, and Michigan to make lasting change. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how state leaders can build and strengthen relationships, secure legislative wins, cultivate support in key leadership roles, and understand the impact of community mobilization. We are looking forward to a rich discussion, as well as reflections on how other states can do this work.
Community-Driven Change: How Advocates Changed Early Childhood Education In New Mexico
July 24th, 2023
3:00 PM ET / 1:00 PM MT
Join CLASP and New Mexico Voices for Children to uncover the power of community collaboration and how a group of advocates changed early childhood education in New Mexico. This strong and inclusive coalition, led by immigrants, Native Americans, and other BIPOC organizations, will share how they built trust and partnership over the years to augment their collective impact.
We will share this unique perspective from child care workers, organizers, and policy analysts so that other advocates can amplify their impact in early childhood education advocacy.
New Mexico’s experience provides valuable lessons to other states on how to build power with grassroots advocates and people with lived experience to bring about real change for child care and early education.

July 25th, 2023
3:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM CT
Join CLASP [[link removed]] to learn about how state advocates and administrators worked together to improve the child care and early education systems in Michigan and New York. This webinar features speakers from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the Early Care and Learning Council of New York, the Michigan Department of Education, and the Early Childhood Investment Corporation of Michigan.
