Here are the top four bills that we’re working to build support for this year and why they’re so important to the liberated future we’re fighting for:



- H.R. 40: Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act is a critical step in the national reparations conversation as we work to repair the damage of centuries of enslavement and discrimination and address the systemic disparities that continue to harm Black communities today1

- H.R. 2847: Ending Qualified Immunity Act would hold police and other officials accountable for their actions, fixing the loophole that allows them violate our rights with impunity2

- H.R. 2374: New Way Forward Actwould roll back dangerous immigration laws that have resulted in the surveillance, incarceration, and deportation of immigrants for decades3, 4

- H.R. 1423: 911 Community Crisis Responders Act of 2023 would provide grants to local communities to create and sustain new models of public safety, particularly models that reduce reliance on police response to emergencies5
