I’m reaching out to ask you to contribute to my campaign and help us pay down the bills we still owe from our 2022 victory. But first, I want to explain why this deadline is so critical and why I need your support.

Once June 30 comes and goes today, I need to file a public report stating how much money my campaign raised for April-June. Reporters, Republicans, and pundits all pay attention to it and use it to gauge our strength.

I’ll go on (please keep reading!) but first, could you make a donation to my campaign before the super important midn‌ight deadline?

This report is especially important because we haven’t yet closed the books on our 2022 race. In the last few days of the election, polls tightened, the GOP amped up spending against me, and pundits thought we might not win. So my campaign made the decision to spend beyond our budget, hoping the money would come in later.

It was the right choice. It worked and we won. But we STILL are paying down the bills, and our public report could show us in the red. That’s not good for a team that needs to portray strength.

If you’re able, please make an urgent donation – most folks give $3 but any amount will make a difference – before the FEC deadline. I can’t do this alone, and I’m hoping that I can count on you to step up.

Know that I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t have to. Trust me, asking for money is the thing I hate most about campaigns. But it’s the only way to hold the line on our Democratic majority in the Senate.
