I've been emailing you for a week now about today's fundraising deadline. Well, now we're here, and we're just $4,470 shy of our goal.
If everyone who opens this email gave just $25, we would blow past that number several times over.
But I get it—Summer can be a tight time of year, and if your inbox is anything like mine, you have a lot of other candidates asking you for money today.
But we're so close, John. If we can raise those $4,470, then we can show everyone—including our likely GOP opponent—that we don't need dark money to win this thing. We can show them that this campaign doesn't belong to corporate interests.
We can show them that this campaign belongs to you. To everyday North Carolinians.
We can show them a different way of doing politics in our state, and then we can take that momentum all the way to the Treasurer's office so we can show them a better way of doing government.
If we want to take back this state, we need to put up a strong campaign that can show our neighbors from the Blue Ridge to the Outer Banks, in every place where folks have been left behind, that we understand the kitchen table issues that keep them up at night. That we can build a winning coalition. And there is only one statewide campaign committed to that.
