John --

Two years ago today, 17 lives were lost in Parkland, Florida because of a senseless act of violence.

As March for Our Lives organizers are reminding people today, “We remember them with love. We honor them with action.”

Millions of Americans across the country are demanding that our lawmakers finally act on the issue of gun violence, yet our House and Senate have failed to move on this issue.

Brand New Congress candidate Jen Perelman is on the front lines of this issue in Florida’s 23rd district. She’s witnessed the lack of action by our leaders to pass common-sense gun legislation, even though the majority of Americans support them.

We have to make the change we want to see. The brave organizers of the March for Our Lives movement showed us what is possible when today’s youth rise up for a cause.

But, it’s up to all of us to get officials elected who will put people over profits.

We have 37 candidates running in 21 states. That’s 37 progressive voices. That’s 37 votes on every piece of legislation presented. That’s 37 regular-working future representatives who will fight policy built around human rights because they have lived the problems so many of us face today.

We can’t change policies until we change our government. Can you contribute today to help us build a Congress that will act?
