Dear John, Throughout our lives, I’ve always been amazed by Callie’s energy and tenacity. When she sets her mind to something, she gets it done. And if elections were just about which candidate has more passion, Callie would already have this race in the bag – but elections take money, and Callie wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth to self-fund a campaign.
When I returned home from war, Callie gave me the push I needed to finally talk to my doctors about all my symptoms. And once I got a diagnosis, she fought every day to get me the care I needed for my brain injury and PTSD. When she went to U of M to earn a law degree, she juggled being a mom, a student, and a veterans advocate all at once. And when people told her it would be impossible to unseat Rep. Jack Bergman, she got to work. Throughout our lives, I’ve watched my wife refuse to back down from challenges others might say is too difficult. And that’s exactly the kind of leadership we need in Congress. Callie’s giving this race her all to make sure MI-01 has a representative we can trust to work hard every day – but she can’t do it alone. Chip in before midnight tonight to help send Callie to Congress and send Rep. Bergman packing.
