Dear Fourth District Constituent,

This week I had the opportunity to get out and about across the Fourth District and speak with local legislators, library workers, public safety folks, and others to get status updates on local community projects, hear about successes and challenges, and more. Working together across federal, state, local, and county government is so important to meeting our community's needs across the East Metro. 

Libraries Are Essential

I stopped by Hayden Heights and Riverview Libraries earlier this week to discuss their plans for much-needed renovations to increase community engagement, safety, and accessibility. Libraries play such an important role in our communities!

It’s great to be working with such dedicated community partners and other elected officials to secure funding to make these renovations a reality.

Improving Rescue Safety in Washington County  

Did you know Washington County has nearly 250 bodies of water?

Airboats are essential for water rescues, which is why I’m working to provide federal Community Project Funding for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to invest in new public safety equipment and technology.

I was able to visit for a demonstration this week!

Central Greenway Regional Trail Opening

Less than a year after construction began, this week we celebrated the opening of the newly improved and connected Central Greenway Regional Trail in Washington County—just in time to get out and enjoy the trails this summer. 

Proud to have worked together with the County to secure $1 million in Community Project Funding to help this come to fruition!

Collaborative Government Works for the East Metro

It was great to meet with state legislators from around the Fourth District earlier this week to celebrate their outstanding accomplishments during this year’s legislative session! Minnesota is truly an example for the nation in good leadership—putting people over politics to solve problems and improve people’s lives.
