Good morning, JOHN,
My wife, April, and I invite you to a THANK YOU event and fundraiser at the Old Cider Press on Friday, July 7th. Everyone who supported our campaign means so much to us, and we would love to see you at this fun event.
You will be be able to enjoy great pie and ice cream, talk with like-minded people who care about our country, reminisce about fun things from the 2022 campaign, and hear what we are thinking now.
Please RSVP today!
Yesterday, I announced the formation of an exploratory committee for a possible 2024 run. Even if you cannot go to the event, we would appreciate your prayers as we decide next steps.
Also, any contribution before midnight tonight, June 30th, would be a HUGE help as we work for a financial goal before the end of this reporting period.

Yesterday, our country's highest court produced two very common-sense rulings. The US Supreme Court reaffirmed our religious freedom in a unanimous decision in favor of a postal worker who wanted to just have one day off a week, Sunday, when he believed that he should not be working.
The High Court also decided a huge case that overturns Harvard's and North Carolina's admission affirmative action policies. This is a significant win to bring equality to our colleges and universities where merit should be used for admissions. This decision also overturns the current polices for all Maryland Universities, and evens the possibility for admission for ALL applicants.
I cannot tell you how many times I have heard from frustrated parents that their children had fantastic test scores, grades, and awards, but could not get into our state schools because of reverse discrimination. I think this decision gets us closer to Martin Luther King Jr's Dream when he said, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." May that be the case in college admissions and in different aspects of American life.
I really liked what Ben Carson had to say about today's case. He indicated:
"Today’s opinion out of the Supreme Court ruling affirmative action as unconstitutional is a massive win for achieving real equality in this country.
Are we a perfect nation? No. But your skin color, sex, and religion do not determine your outcomes in life - hard work and determination do. We are not a nation of victims, we are a nation of opportunity. This opinion ensures that everyone will have equal access to those opportunities.
We have made tremendous steps in the right direction in terms of racial equality in this country and today’s opinion both acknowledges and furthers that progress. There should always be equal rights, not extra rights."

Yesterday morning, I was thankful to talk about several issues on the Larry O'Connor Show. You can listen by going here.
Our country is going through a lot of challenges right now, but there are many good things happening. I am thankful to be able to work with you to be a part of the solution.
If you can join me next Friday, July 7, 2023, you will have a great time, and April and I would be grateful to talk with you then.
May God bless you and may God bless our great country,
Neil Parrott
