Each June, GLSEN joins the tens of millions of people around the world celebrating Pride and recognizing how far we have come as a community and culture. Unfortunately, ongoing aggression and efforts to erase LGBTQ+ youth have not stopped during this celebration.
In recent months we’ve seen attacks on LGBTQ+ students and families play out in real time in news headlines and on social media. A violent, angry minority are attempting to hold our democracy, our school systems, and our community hostage.
As LGBTQ+ students continue to be caught in the cross-hairs, I hope we can count on you. Students need us to stand with them. They need to know they are not alone.
Rise Up and Support LGBTQ+ Youth [[link removed]]
Support systems for LGBTQ+ students, such as GSA clubs and school policies that allow them to participate safely in all parts of school life, are at risk of being eliminated. Your generosity directly supports students by developing and delivering the programs and resources that LGBTQ+ youth need to feel safe in their schools.
It doesn’t end there though.
The power of your support is exponential. Every student we reach through your generosity becomes prepared to help others beyond their school days, often through a lifetime of advocacy and a commitment to social justice.
A gift to GLSEN is the single best investment that you can make in our nation’s youth and in our future. [[link removed]]
