I grew up in a working-class family as the granddaughter of immigrants and the daughter of a World War II veteran. I was the first in my family to graduate from college, and I worked multiple jobs – including as a waitress at Caesars Palace – and took out student loans to make ends meet.

Now, I'm humbled to serve Nevada in the U.S. Senate. As a former union member, I'm especially honored to represent the hardworking families and union workers who have helped build our great state.
Who I am and where I come from is why I've always fought to strengthen our middle class, create good-paying jobs, and lower everyday costs.
But right now, I need your help. I'm back on the ballot next year, and CNN reports that I'm one of the most vulnerable senators up for reelection. The only way I can keep Nevada blue is with the support of people like you.
