As a pediatrician and a mom, kids are my priority. Running for Congress helped me understand why our children are always an afterthought in public policy decisions. They can’t vote, they don’t have money, and until now, no one was willing to do the hard work to give them a voice in DC.
As a former candidate, I know that well-meaning efforts to support children through advocacy and policy development will only get us so far. Kids need political power, and that means a well-funded PAC whose bottom line is children. It's the only way to create the change our children deserve.
That’s why my organization’s first Federal Election Commission (FEC) quarterly fundraising deadline is even more important: Because it’s our first chance to show the public there is power behind this movement.
