I've just been informed that we met a critical fundraising goal for our campaign -- the first end-of-month deadline since "conservative crusader" Jeanne Ives announced her candidacy against me with the full backing of former Republican Congressman Peter Roskam.

With Roskam and his mega-donors preparing to spend millions on her behalf, it was important that we show the strength of our grassroots campaign. And, thanks to you, we did.

By meeting this goal, we sent Ives, Roskam, and their wealthy donors the message that their extreme ideology isn't welcome here.
