John, with the primaries finally over, it’s time to hit the ground running and elect Democrats across Virginia.

Today, I’d like to highlight four incredible candidates running for open seats in the House of Delegates who need this team’s support.

But before I continue, will you rush a grassroots donation to help us reach our End-of-Quarter goal before tomorrow’s urgent filing deadline? With election season in full swing, we can’t afford any missteps.

Open seats are critical to securing a blue majority in the House of Delegates. We can’t allow a single one to fall into GOP hands, and that starts by making sure Democrats in these tough races have the resources they need.

Josh Thomas, HD-21:
Veteran and advocate for his fellow veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and working families. Josh is fighting to protect our environment, expand local infrastructure, build economic opportunities, and ensure equal access to healthcare for all.

Joshua Cole, HD-65:
Community activist, faith leader, and voice for working-class Virginians. As a former delegate, Joshua is running again to continue working to revitalize the local economy, support farmers and agriculture, and improve environmental policy across the state.

Karen Jenkins, HD-89:
School Board member, mental health professional, and champion of public education. Karen is fighting for better education funding, more opportunities for the people of HD-89, and greater prosperity for all.

Phil Hernandez, HD-94:
Nonprofit leader, civil rights attorney, and community activist dedicated to improving the lives of all Norfolk residents. Phil’s background in clean energy policy during the Obama administration informs his fight for climate action, and he’s a committed champion for public education, workers’ rights, and affordable healthcare.

We need committed, experienced leaders in Richmond to fight for progress. But make no mistake: Republicans are going to do whatever it takes to install ultra-right-wing puppets in these open seats.

These are must-win races if we’re going to retake the majority in Richmond. That’s why I’m asking: Will you please rush just $4 to help support these candidates and end the GOP’s takeover of Virginia?
