As Pride Month comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts with you.

As we’ve seen, Republican state legislatures have been pushing through waves of anti-LGBTQ+, anti-trans legislation to dehumanize and attack the LGBTQ+ community.

But there’s one thing they’re completely misunderstanding: You can’t legislate away who someone is — nor will we let them.

That’s why Groundwork Project is partnering with local community activists working to empower LGBTQ+ voters and defeat the extreme legislators who are behind this homophobic, transphobic agenda.

But our work isn’t possible without grassroots support, and meeting quarterly deadlines like the one we’re facing tomorrow night plays a major role in our success.
