For years, Reverend Patrick Mahoney and his congregation held peaceful prayer services outside the U.S. Capitol on Good Friday.

But in 2021, that changed.

The U.S. Capitol Police Board DENIED Rev. Mahoney’s permit request and he was not allowed to hold a small prayer gathering outside the Capitol.

But with your support, the Center for American Liberty stepped in and sued the U.S. Capitol Police Board for its unconstitutional restrictions on Rev. Mahoney’s freedom of speech and religious gathering.

Now, two years later, we’re STILL embroiled in litigation against the Capitol Police Board for its refusal to completely reopen Capitol Grounds to the public while allowing members of Congress and their friends to host events on those very same grounds.

Today, we released the first episode of our original documentary series FREE UNCENSORED SPEECH and I wanted to make sure you had the chance to see it.

You and I cannot allow the government to get away with preventing law-abiding citizens from speech in a traditionally protected public square while allowing members of Congress and their friends to access the same space with no consequences.

It’s a double-standard and it’s unconstitutional.
