The agency explained that the “rationale for considering the change … includes the consensus opinion that cannabis is not a performance-enhancing drug.”
Provisions in the new law allow adults to legally obtain up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis flower (up from ounce) and/or up to one-quarter of an ounce of concentrates (up from one-eighth of an ounce).
Visiting patients may now obtain cannabis products from any of the state’s seven licensed dispensaries if they present a valid out-of-state registry card.
