Dear friend,
At the start of 2023, humanitarian need had risen to an all-time high — a
record 339 million people worldwide were in need of humanitarian
assistance.
So far in 2023, a massive earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, violent
clashes broke out in Sudan, violence has escalated in Ukraine, and the
Horn of Africa is facing another failed rainy season.
But the unprecedented challenges of the first half of the year were met
with the compassion and generosity of our supporters, the dedication of
our team members, and the strength of the communities where we work.
From all of us here at
Mercy Corps, thank you for your commitment to building a more resilient,
inclusive future where everyone can prosper.
