This morning's decision by the corrupt and illegitimate Supreme Court ending affirmative action was designed to keep Black people out of higher education and positions of power — people like Summer Lee, Pennsylvania's first Black Congresswoman. After this morning's decision, it's critical we pull together to support Summer.
That's why I'm reaching out about our end-of-quarter deadline. As of this afternoon, we're running 12% behind our $25,000 fundraising goal, and unless we pick up the pace, we risk falling short of our goal before tomorrow's midnight deadline.
But here's the good news: If just three people from 19125 each chip in, we could reach our goal in no time. So, I'm reaching out to ask:

Since day one, Summer has run a 100% people-powered campaign without a cent from corporate PACs. It was donations of $5 and $15 that helped make Summer Pennsylvania's first Black Congresswoman, and now that we're going up against a GOP opponent in 2024, we're counting on grassroots support again.
2024 will be a critical election year with Summer up for re-election, the presidential election, and a crucial Senate race in PA. We need the resources now to start funding some of these immediate expenses:
- Campaign signs to show the strength of our movement in yards across the district
- Gas to travel to every corner of the district and have impactful conversations with voters
- Organizing supplies like clipboards, paper, and pens
- A Zoom subscription to host meetings and train volunteers virtually
- Office supplies like printer ink, notepads, and even chairs and tables to furnish the office
- Campaign literature including door-hangers and leaflets to bring our message to every voter in PA-12
One donation may not seem like a lot compared to $25,000 — but we just need three folks from 19125 to chip in to hit our goal. So when we say a donation of any amount counts, we really mean it.
