Legislative Update - Join Us for Our July 12 Town Hall

Dear Neighbors,?

We got a lot accomplished at the Minnesota Legislature this year, for our community and the entire state, and we can?t wait to share it with you. As our new budget and policies start to be enacted, my District 60 colleagues and I wanted to touch base on what these new laws mean for you, and hear your feedback on the work that remains.?

We?ll be at the Van Cleve Recreation Center on Wednesday, July 12, from 6-7:30pm, for our District 60 Town Hall, and I hope you can make it.

And while not technically part of our state budget, but still consequential for state investment, is our Capital Investment bill. Otherwise known as a bonding bill, this was one of our last votes of the legislative session, and it delivered $2.6 billion in one-time investments in infrastructure projects to communities throughout the state - including millions for Minneapolis.

Other important measures outside of our budget bills we passed at the end of session include Paid Family and Medical Leave, and the final version of our bill to legalize adult-use cannabis.
