Hey John – In 2022, Georgia Republicans tried to kick me out of Congress by redrawing my district to be majority Republican. It wasn’t enough to stop my grassroots team – but that doesn’t mean the threat has gone away. These maps are currently being challenged in court – which means the future of the Georgia maps are uncertain. I’m preparing for anything because this fight is too important. This Friday at midnight is our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, and it’s more important than ever that my campaign is ready for the challenges ahead. Will you rush a donation right now to help me stay prepared? For far too long, gerrymandering has been used to undermine our democracy by drawing misshapen districts skewed to favor one party. It’s also a racist tactic that historically has taken power away from Black voters. GOP lawmakers have shown time and time again that they’re willing to bend the rules in their favor to get the results they want. If districts get redrawn before 2024, it could have an impact on my campaign for re-election. The last time this happened, my team of supporters made sure I had the resources I needed to make it back to Congress.
